Marshall Berner
Senior Associate Attorney
Marshall R. Berner is a senior associate attorney with the Firm and focuses his practice on business litigation, business formation, aviation law, and real estate law.
Prior to joining the Firm, Marshall served as general counsel to a regional airline headquartered in Central Florida, overseeing its legal affairs and compliance. In that role, he negotiated and prepared documents for the sale of aircraft, leases, and parts and maintenance agreements; ensured regulatory, corporate, and legal compliance; and directed outside counsel in state and federal litigation matters throughout the country. Before that, he was a partner at Four Rivers Law Firm in Tampa and later the manager of his own solo practice. When representing clients (whether in court or in negotiations), Marshall draws on his prior experiences as a private business owner, entrepreneur, and commercial real estate broker to identify practical solutions to clients’ legal issues.
Marshall obtained his Juris Doctor cum laude from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Tampa Campus), where he attended on a scholarship, received several “book awards” (highest grade in the class), and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Marshall is a member of The Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida (Tampa/Orlando). Located in Tampa, Marshall is also active in the Hillsborough County Bar Association and assists the Firm with handling cases in Central Florida.
